Also, Peter Ungar’s story of experiencing blindness also reminded us of something important: rather than simply telling people to “leave their problems at the door,” there is a much better and more compassionate solution. We can create an environment where people feel comfortable bringing their struggles with them, and where they know they will be met with love, understanding, and support.
That approach would do far more to demonstrate just how loving and welcoming this church truly is. ✝️
